Description: Workshops to revise and improve some aspects of English grammar.
Target audience:
- Non-Native PhD and PostDocs from the Department of Engineering

Format: Class work and individual study
Frequency: Yearly
Prerequisites:
- Participants must be Non-native speakers
Aims:
- To revise some common areas of grammatical difficulty
- To improve awareness and understanding of some advanced grammatical structures which are of particular use in academic writing
Topics covered:
- Use of the definite, indefinite and zero articles
- Relative clauses; punctuation; linking words; inversion;
