Microsoft IT Academy: Course 10375: Managing Content, Metadata & Information Policies in Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Online
This 90-minutes online course provides an overview of the Microsoft SharePoint 2010 enterprise content management features and describes how to customize and use the features.

Learners must be familiar with the basic concepts of SharePoint. They must have experience working with Microsoft SharePoint Server 2003 or Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007. Learners should complete Course 4697: Introduction to the New Microsoft® Office Fluent™ User Interface before taking this course.

- Introduction to Content Types
- Create a Content Type
- What is a Content Type Hub?
- Creating a Document Set and Asset Library
- Working with Managed Metadata
- Configuring Metadata-Based Navigation and Filtering
- Introduction to Records Management
- Introduction to Document IDs
- Overview of Content Organizer
- Creating a Basic Information Policy
At the end of the course, students will be able to: Describe how to manage and work with content, metadata, and information policies in SharePoint 2010.

To view this course, you need:
- A Pentium II, 256 MB RAM with a processor speed greater than or equal to 400 MHZ
- Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or higher
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
- Macromedia Flash 7.0 or higher (1MB disk space needed to install)
- Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.0 or higher
- Microsoft XML Core Services 3.0 or higher
- A Super VGA monitor with minimum screen resolution 1024x768, with 16-bit color.
- A sound card, and either speakers or headphones (for multi-media audio).
- Internet bandwidth of 56K or faster. Broadband internet access is recommended.
For courses containing Virtual Server-based labs (courses in the IT Professional and Developer Catalog), you will need:
- Microsoft Virtual Server ActiveX control (1MB disk space needed to install)
The following software must be running on your computer in order to access this course with Screen Reader Software:
