Assistive Technology covers a wide-range of adaptive tools, equipment and software. It also identifies strategies beneficial to users with disabilities, including upper limb issues, which may be affecting their ability to work or study effectively.
This session will be useful for users experiencing an upper limb, shoulder or back problem. It will also be beneficial for those supporting users with disabilities or upper limb and back problems.
Users will gain an in-depth understanding of in-built Windows 7 adjustments to help increase productivity and manage symptoms. Opportunities will be available to look at alternative input devices, such as keyboards and mice and helpful software to aid regular rest breaks, project planning and document creation. You will be shown simple strategies to help you work or study more effectively.
