French: Intermediate Intensive

Prerequisites

This course is suitable for those who have already studied French for at least a year, or for those who know basic French. Communicative context, with videos, audio, texts and conversation.

• Postgraduates in Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Materials Science, Computer Laboratory, Chemistry, Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership and Judge Business School

• Participants must have basic French or studied French for at least a year

Number of sessions: 9

• Simple connected text on topics, which are familiar, or of personal interest
• Describe and discuss (orally and in writing) technological, environmental and engineering based experiences / events in simple terms
• Factual texts and audio extracts on subjects related to a field such as engineering

To learn to deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken
