Description

Everyone is watching video on Social Media these days. So it is a great place to share your research. Learn about the best ways to create & upload video for, as well as go live on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram. You just need yourself, a smartphone and your enthusiasm!

Target audience

MPhil, PhD and Post Docs

Prerequisites

• Bring a fully charged smart phone capable of shooting video

• Facebook (Page, not personal), Twitter, Instagram apps installed with accounts (not all are necessary)

• USB cable for charging & transfer footage to a laptop

• Bring an idea for some short, extremely simple videos that you will shoot on the day. It does not need to be linked to your research

• Laptop

• Optional: For more advanced editing, Latest version of free editing software software downloaded : Da Vinci Resolve (https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/uk/products/davinciresolve/ or Hit Film Express (https://fxhome.com/express. Please check they open OK.

• If you wish to use other software (E.G. iMovie, Premiere Pro) this is ok, but please let us know
