Description
Would you like to gain nationally recognised accreditation of your teaching experience? Many UK universities now expect teaching staff seeking tenure to have undertaken or to undertake a structured teaching and learning development course accredited by the HE Academy. This session provides an overview of the route by which those with some experience of teaching in Higher Education may gain accreditation. It also provides a short introduction to the HE Academy itself.

Aims
- to understand the objectives of the Academy, current requirements for Fellowship and Associate Fellowship status, and the University's current position regarding the Academy
- to be aware of approaches and content required for a successful application to join the Academy and appreciate the importance of a reflective approach when submitting this evidence

- If you have limited experience of teaching and are interested in a flexibly structured introductory programme please contact the Researcher Development Programme regarding the Teaching Associates Programme (TAP)
- TAP is accredited by the HE Academy to Associate Fellow status
