Finance Division Taster Sessions - Finance Managers Group
Description
This session led by Finance Managers and Advisers will provide attendees with an insight into their roles and how different Schools operate.
The session will be equally split between two different School teams:
- School of Physical Sciences
- School of Humanities & Social Sciences
to reflect the different approaches and demands of different sectors within the University.

Finance Division staff only
Prerequisites
In order to make your booking, please ensure you have booked this through your Line Manager.
In addition, the venue is NOT 17 Mill Lane, Seminar Room G, but at the desks of Finance Managers that are nearby the Seminar Room.
Objectives
The session will cover in general:
- The Planning Round
- Financial reporting
- Committee structure and support
- School structures and different approaches
- School specific strategic investment projects and their administration
