Description

A training session for Engineering for Sustainable Development MPhil students in the Department of Engineering.

Develop your information searching skills and learn the best ways to find relevant and useful resources.

The session will cover:

  • Search strategy
  • Search methods
  • Where to search
  • Troubleshooting common problems
  • Staying up to date
  • Managing your references

Please bring a laptop or other web-enabled device with you to the session. The session slides will be made available on Moodle.

Participants should have attempted a keyword search in a database of their choice (e.g. iDiscover, Google Scholar etc.) and made a note of their results, and any thoughts/problems they encountered.
