GL Part 1: Getting Started in the General Ledger module

This course enables users to learn the basics of how the General Ledger module works, how to run online account enquiries and how to process journals.

Target audience

Departmental staff who have (or wish to have) either a GL User or GL Dept Supervisor responsibility in CUFS

  • Understand the purpose of the General Ledger module and how it interacts with the rest of the finance system
  • Consolidate your knowledge of the University chart of accounts
  • View your departmental budget on-line
  • Process various journals
  • View departmental account balances on-line

To introduce you to some of the basic transactions and account codes within the General Ledger Module.
