New Perspectives for Women on Confident Ways of Working (Academic Related and Assistant Staff)
Special

Tue 22 Jan 2013

Description

Have you experienced knocking knees, a dry throat or churning stomach before an important meeting? What do your thoughts have to do with your success? Can you really control the internal butterflies?

Research is providing us with increasing evidence that our thoughts affect our feelings, behaviour and our achievements. The concept of confidence is often misunderstood; usually it’s only when we don’t have it that confidence comes to our attention. This workshop will encourage you to explore what creates confidence, the beliefs and behaviours that support and detract from your confidence and how to find that essential boost when you need it most.
