ESRC DTP: End of Michaelmas Term Social and Soapbox (ESRC DTP Students Only)
Prerequisites

Wed 28 Nov 2018

Description

The Director of the Cambridge ESRC DTP warmly invites all Cambridge ESRC DTP students to our first D'Tea'P Socials at the end of Michaelmas Term. This will be a great opportunity to catch-up with fellow DTP students and to receive an update on current opportunities.

We are delighted that Dr Miles Parker will be joining us on this occasion, who will be getting on his soapbox to speak. Miles is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for Science and Policy. He was formerly Deputy Chief Scientific Adviser to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and Director in the international office of the OST. He is a marine scientist with long-standing connections to MAFF, Defra and Cefas. He was awarded the OBE in the New Year's Honours List 2013.

Following Miles, there will be time for a Q&A and also a chance to talk with him one to one over drinks and nibbles.
