This briefing is essential for those responsible for reporting accidents and incidents in their departments, such as safety officers, administrators, or first aiders. The reporting process and the updated reporting form will be explained. Refreshments will be provided.

Topics covered
  • The Accident, Dangerous Occurrence and Incident form, the process of reporting and reasons for the revisions.
  • The information required for reporting, subsequent processing and utility.
Objectives
  • To provide new and existing DSOs and Administrators with the updated accident and incident reporting forms and to explain the process of reporting in relation to changes in the relevant regulations.
  • To provide an understanding of the information required by the Safety Office.
  • To provide the context of the broad range people in receipt of some of the information within the University e.g. insurance office, data protection office, estate management.
