Physics Health & Safety - Cleanroom Safety Talk - Semiconductor Physics new Finished 11:00 - 12:30 Department of Physics – Virtual

This is a mandatory briefing for every user of the SP Cleanroom in the Cavendish Laboratory's Mott Building. Participants must attend annually as they will be provided with updated information on Cleanroom procedures and safety requirements.

Physics Health & Safety: Ionising Radiation Briefing for Users of X-Ray Generators (in person) Finished 10:00 - 11:00 Department of Physics, Rutherford Building, Rutherford Meeting Room, 980A (Floor 2)

A short briefing for anyone who wishes to use X-ray generators at Department of Physics, University of Cambridge. Required before attending hands-on training on specific X-ray equipment and part of registrations as "Ionising Radiation User" (for details see this page).

Physics Health & Safety - PoM Access Briefing for Non-research Work new Finished 16:00 - 16:30 Department of Physics

A short (10 minute) briefing covering the biological and other hazards to watch out for when walking through the PoM or carrying out independent non-experimental work, such as maintenance, cleaning, repairs to equipment, giving first aid, taking items through to Maxwell and vice versa, OR accompanying others who need authorised access (e.g. contractors).

If you will be located at the PoM or doing experimental work, you should attend the full PoM Induction instead (see "Related Courses").
