This self-paced online course provides an introduction to principles of responsible research and innovation. Responsible research and innovation (RRI) is an approach that anticipates and assesses potential implications and societal expectations with regard to research and innovation. It includes, but goes beyond, considerations of ethics, public engagement, risk and regulation.
This course has been designed primarily for postgraduate research students and early career research in STEM fields. It is open to all research staff and students.
Research Integrity; Good Research Practice; Responsible Research and innovation
- Understand the principles of Responsible Research and Innovation
- Identify the need for RRI with respect to new research & technology
- Reflect on the role and responsibilities of researchers within society
- Understand and apply the RRI framework to assess potential implications of a research project
The module will remain available for all and learners are free to complete it at their own pace. You will receive an email with the moodle link and enrollment key to enroll on the Moodle couse.
