It's hard to maintain self-motivation during a long period of study, in particular a doctorate. Harder still in self-isolation. Abigail Docherty explores how we can we reconnect with our natural intrinsic motivation and find reward and nourishment within the habits and practices of our critical enquiry?

In this session, you will look at simple ways to motivate your own research and writing-practice-in-isolation by reflecting on the principles of intrinsic motivation as methodology (creative theory) and mind-mapping.
