Navigating the post-award journey can be a challenge for researchers, fortunately, the Cambridge Research Office's Research Operations Office (ROO) Post-Awards Team are experts in supporting researchers through managing their awards.
You will hear short presentations from members of the Post Award, Compliance and Contracts Teams, giving a short overview of their roles and responsibilities as well as what is expected and required of researchers throughout the post-award cycle. Additionally, our presenters will give some of their top tips, address common pitfalls and equip you with knowledge on how to avoid them. Throughout the session there will be opportunities for your questions to be answered.
About the ROO
The Research Operations Office (ROO) is the University’s official signatory for research grants and contracts, with formally delegated authority to submit applications, accept research grants and negotiate appropriate terms and conditions. Managing research projects includes monitoring expenditure, preparing statements and financial reports for the diverse sponsor requirements, and reconciling and closing the grant at the end of the project.

- To understand the role that the Post-Award, Contract and Compliance Team can play in you successfully managing your Award.
- Representatives of the Post-Awards Team, Contracts Team and Compliance Team will give short presentations providing an overview of the support and work their teams offer to PIs. Speakers will outline briefly what is expected of the PIs during the fellowships.
