Advanced CamSIS Search Unscheduled Not bookable

CamSIS Search is a tool used within CamSIS to create lists of students and update student data. This course will show you how to use it to a more advanced level.

Graduate students may apply for changes to their student circumstances via their CamSIS self-service account. Such changes include intermission (a break from study), permission to work away from Cambridge, or an extension to submission date. This online course explains how to use the Status Overviews (Records) Pivot Tile to track pending Change In Circumstances applications. There is one click through slide followed by a video section that is audio described (length 4 minutes 30 seconds).

Aimed at those intending to use CamTools to support teaching and learning, this short course will offer you hands-on experience of running a course site. You will practice sharing documents with students, creating events to which students can subscribe, setting up forums, creating assignments and more.

CamTools is an online system used to create sites to support teaching, research, and collaboration. Within a CamTools site academics, students, administrators and guests can use a collection of online tools to collaborate, communicate and share resources.

Aimed at those looking for a general introduction to the system, this course covers all basic functions of CamTools and offers hands-on experience of running a site as an administrator. You will practice working with the most useful tools (uploading documents, updating a calendar, posting announcements etc), and managing a site (adding site members, creating groups etc). By the end of the course you will have developed a fully functioning CamTools site, populated with a standard set of tools.

Moodle Upgrade 2018: demo session Thu 6 Sep 2018   11:00 Finished

On the 17th of July 2018 Moodle was upgraded to the new version Moodle 3.4.

We would like to invite you to a demo session on the 6th of September at 11.00 at Mill Lane Lecture Room 1 to see the changes and new functions of Moodle 3.4.

This year the upgrade includes changes to the system format and further improvements to navigation, editing and accessibility options in Moodle. Further information about the upgrade changes is available on the Moodle website http://www.student-systems.admin.cam.ac.uk/moodle/summer-upgrade .

You’re invited to attend an open meeting on Wednesday 10 July about important plans to improve parts of the subject moderation process in time for the next admissions round in October 2019.
