09:00	FS3 Integrity and Ethics in Research Finished 09:00 - 11:00 Unilever Lecture Theatre A thorough awareness of issues relating to research ethics and research integrity are essential to producing excellent research. This session will provide an introduction to the ethical responsibilities of researchers at the University, publication ethics and research integrity. It will be interactive, using case studies to better understand key ethical issues and challenges in all areas. There are two sessions running, you need attend only one, this is the last session of the academic year.
	Professional Services Career Development Programme Finished 09:00 - 13:00 Greenwich House, Edmonton Room Please note that additional dates will be released shortly. A new two part programme to support career progression for Professional Services staff: Part 1 This highly interactive workshop will enable you to step back from the ‘day-to-day’ and focus on your career objectives, short and long term. You will have the opportunity to explore what development opportunities you could grasp and what networks might assist you. You will also have the opportunity to consider what’s holding you back and how you can overcome these barriers to fulfil your career aspirations. You will leave the workshop with a personal career plan in draft format, that you will be able to explore in greater depth during the second part of the programme. Part 2 An hour-long one-to-one career coaching session provided by a professional career coach from Penna, to take place on the 10th, 11th or 12th July. The booking link will be circulated for participants on the morning of Monday 10th June. If you receive a confirmed booking after this date, or do not receive the booking link on Monday 10th June, please contact PPD.

	German: Beginner Intensive (5 of 9) Finished 09:30 - 11:30 Department of Engineering, CLIC 2 Introductory course to German. This course is for those with no previous knowledge of German. Communicative context, with videos, audio, texts and conversation.
	Python 3: Introduction for Absolute Beginners (2 of 5) Finished 09:30 - 13:00 Titan Teaching Room 1, New Museums Site This course is part of the Scientific Computing series. This course is aimed at those new to programming and provides an introduction to programming using Python, focussing on scientific programming. This course is probably unsuitable for those with programming experience, even if it is just in shell scripting or Matlab-like programs. By the end of this course, attendees should be able to write simple Python programs and to understand more complex Python programs written by others. As this course is part of the Scientific Computing series, the examples chosen are of most relevance to scientific programming.
10:00	Protein Structure Analysis (2 of 2) Finished 10:00 - 16:30 Bioinformatics Training Room, Craik-Marshall Building This course covers analytical approaches for the interpretation of biomacromolecular structures including how to find information about the structure and function of your protein sequence using CATH, principles of modern state-of-the-art protein modelling with Phyre2 and methods for predicting the effects of mutations on protein structure and function using the SAAP family of tools. In addition, we will look at mapping genetic variants onto structures as well as visualisation and basic analysis of protein structures. The training room is located on the first floor and there is currently no wheelchair or level access available to this level. 	Medicine: Critical Appraisal - Systematic Reviews (for University and NHS) Finished 10:00 - 11:30 Clinical School, Medical Library, Library Training Room This course will help you understand how to critically appraise a systematic review, assessing its reliability, trustworthiness, and applicability. We ask that you read a paper that will be provided before you attend the session, in order for us to make the best use of the time together.
	Year-end seminar 2019: School of Humanities and Social Sciences Finished 10:00 - 11:00 Finance Division, Mond Building, Mond Seminar Room The year end seminars this year will be run on a school basis. There will be a short presentation from the Finance Division team and then a session for school specific questions relating to the year end process. Questions and topics for discussion can be submitted in advance via your School Finance manager.

11:00	POSTDOC Focus Group for improving Research & Integrity Training CANCELLED 11:00 - 12:00 Todd-Hamied A thorough awareness of issues relating to research ethics and research integrity are essential to producing excellent research. This focus group aims to improve on what we currently offer. What do we hope to find out? 1. To establish the priority topics for Research Integrity training 2. To identify which areas of Research Integrity and Ethics training are not currently adequately covered 3. Establish how to service the differing training needs 4. To find out which types of training courses are best offered centrally and which are best delivered locally Lunch is provided.

	DD10 Physicochemical Concepts in Drug Optimization and Development (4 of 4) Finished 12:00 - 13:00 U203 The overall scope of this course is to provide an all-inclusive view of the importance of physicochemical properties in the design and development of drugs, delivered to patients by oral administration. In particular, it gives ample information on the importance of the role played by the solubility and the permeability of orally administered drug substances in influencing their rate of absorption and systemic circulation.
