Microsoft IT Academy: Clinic 10277: What's New in Microsoft SharePoint 2010 for Developers Online
This two-hour clinic describes various new features and enhancements that Microsoft SharePoint 2010 provides developers. It describes how you can create and deploy SharePoint 2010 solutions using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. It also describes how you can develop remote clients for SharePoint 2010 and develop SharePoint 2010 solutions that incorporate data from external line-of-business applications.

Developers completing this clinic have at least12 months of experience developing solutions with ASP.NET. They should also have 6 months of experience developing solutions for Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
This clinic covers the following topics:
- Developing SharePoint 2010 Solutions with Visual Studio 2010
- Integrating New Development Features in SharePoint 2010 Solutions
- Developing Remote Clients for SharePoint 2010
- Incorporating External Data in SharePoint 2010 Solutions
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Develop SharePoint 2010 solutions with Visual Studio 2010.
- Integrate New Development Features in SharePoint 2010 Solutions
- Develop remote clients for SharePoint 2010 using the client object model and ADO.NET data services.
- Develop SharePoint 2010 solutions that incorporate data from external line-of-business applications.
Self-taught online
To view this course, you need:
- A Pentium II, 256 MB RAM with a processor speed greater than or equal to 400 MHZ
- Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or higher
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
- Macromedia Flash 7.0 or higher (1MB disk space needed to install)
- Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.0 or higher
- Microsoft XML Core Services 3.0 or higher
- A Super VGA monitor with minimum screen resolution 1024x768, with 16-bit color.
- A sound card, and either speakers or headphones (for multi-media audio).
- Internet bandwidth of 56K or faster. Broadband internet access is recommended.
For courses containing Virtual Server-based labs (courses in the IT Professional and Developer Catalog), you will need:
- Microsoft Virtual Server ActiveX control (1MB disk space needed to install)
The following software must be running on your computer in order to access this course with Screen Reader Software:
