Microsoft IT Academy: Course 10386: Advanced Skills in Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 Online
This one-hour online course is designed to help you use advanced features of PowerPoint 2010 to create, customize, and deliver presentations that are rich in multimedia elements.

Learners must be well versed with the basic skills of using Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 (or previous versions) and also have some experience with the interface of PowerPoint 2010. It is recommended that the learners complete the beginner and intermediate courses or have the equivalent skills taught in those courses.
Topics covered in this course include:
- Customize the Quick Access Toolbar and Ribbon
- Customize Master Views and Create Slide Layout
- Customize Slide Master and Creating New Layout
- Incorporate Existing Content
- Work with Videos, Clip Art, Images, and Illustrations
- Save and Print a Slide Show
- Broadcast and Record a Slide Show
- Collaborate by using PowerPoint 2010
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Customize the PowerPoint 2010 environment user interface and elements.
- Add information, multimedia elements, and animation enhancements to a slide show.
- Finalize a slide show and prepare it for delivery.
Self-taught online
To view this course, you need:
- A Pentium II, 256 MB RAM with a processor speed greater than or equal to 400 MHZ
- Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or higher
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
- Macromedia Flash 7.0 or higher (1MB disk space needed to install)
- Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.0 or higher
- Microsoft XML Core Services 3.0 or higher
- A Super VGA monitor with minimum screen resolution 1024x768, with 16-bit color.
- A sound card, and either speakers or headphones (for multi-media audio).
- Internet bandwidth of 56K or faster. Broadband internet access is recommended.
For courses containing Virtual Server-based labs (courses in the IT Professional and Developer Catalog), you will need:
- Microsoft Virtual Server ActiveX control (1MB disk space needed to install)
- Test your computer's capabilities to see if it supports this course.
The following software must be running on your computer in order to access this course with Screen Reader Software:
