It’s that time of year: the report is looming on the horizon and the reality of writing is here!

In this workshop we will discuss the function of the first-year report, we will introduce several writing exercises, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and if there is time maybe even do some writing.

Target audience

First year PhD students in Life Sciences, Physical Sciences and Technology.

Prerequisites

This course will be facilitated online via Zoom, please ensure you have access.

Objectives
  • Understand the form and function of the first-year report
  • Learn about different writing exercises
  • Start planning the structure of your report

Online participative workshop (Zoom), comprising information-giving and activities.

A one hour online workshop

This course is scheduled to run twice in lent term.
