As a Director of Studies you provide essential academic guidance and support to students on an individual basis. Develop your ability to undertake this role more effectively and efficiently with this course. Through group work and discussions, the course will focus on sharing good practice, key responsibilities, and where to find additional sources of help.

- to understand the role and responsibilities of Directors of Studies, and hence improve support of undergraduates
- to be aware of what information is available to Directors of Studies and how to access it
- to understand the responsibilities of Colleges in the Direction of Studies, including the roles of supervisions and CamCORS
- to be aware of legislation, e.g. the Data Protection Act and how it affects the keeping of records and the provision of references
