Real Talk isn't a lecture, seminar or talk. It's an interactive conversational workshop for you and your fellow incoming students to explore important conversations that impact you all as part of a student body - we're talking about sex & healthy relationships, creating inclusive, welcoming spaces, and pressures upon coming to university. It's a space to discuss what you think and feel about these conversations - nothing more, nothing less. No prior knowledge base is necessary. These workshops create safe and brave spaces to explore the above topics and their impact on both individual participants and collective group culture.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: You may choose to opt-out of the Real Talk workshops due to having direct or indirect experience of the topics discussed (sex & health relationships, inclusion & belonging & coming to university), or for other reasons relating to your mental health, for example. If this is applicable to you, please send a brief note to wellbeing@st-edmunds.ac.uk indicating that you have chosen to opt-out (no explanation needed).
