Voice and Pronunciation for Non-native English Speakers
Is English not your first language?
Would you like to incorporate Standard English pronunciation into your everyday speech?
This course will look at the differences and similarities between your natural accent and that of Standard English. It will help to maintain positive aspects of your natural accent whilst enabling you to be easily understood by native English speakers.
This course will be facilitated online via Zoom.

- to be aware of how and why we sound the way we do
- to have improved rhythm, inflection and vowel pronunciation
- to be aware of Standard English vowel sounds
- to be familiar with exercises for relaxation, breathing and resonance placement
- to understand phonetic symbols and sounds
Participants are able to book follow-up one-to-one sessions with the trainer. This will be an individualised and confidential one-hour session where you will be able to determine the objectives and work on exercises to address your specific interests.

This course will be provided in two sessions with a scheduled break inbetween, as follows:
Morning session: 10:00-12:00
Scheduled break: 12:00-13:00
Afternoon session: 13:00-15:00
All participants are expected to attend both online sessions
