Humanities Data: a basic introduction

Description

This CDHBasics session will explain what data is, and what ‘humanities data’ looks like (via a behind-the-scenes tour of the Digital Library). This session covers good practice around file formats, version control and the principles of data curation for individual researchers.

Target audience

CDHBasics sessions are open to staff and graduate students who want to learn and apply digital methods and use digital tools in their research.

Format

For remote teaching: 1 hour live-streamed video, plus interactive chat forum for Q and A and access to course materials via Moodle
