Self-taught course

Description

The IT Infrastructure Library® (ITIL®) is the most widely accepted approach to IT Service Management in the world. ITIL® is a Best Practice framework that has been drawn from both the public and private sectors internationally. It describes how IT resources should be organised to deliver business value, documenting the processes, functions and roles of IT Service Management (ITSM).

The ethos behind the development of ITIL is the recognition that organisations are becoming increasingly dependent on IT in order to satisfy their corporate aims and meet their business needs. This leads to an increased requirement for reliable, high-quality IT services.

This ITIL Foundation e-learning course is designed to enable delegates to understand the disciplines and processes that help service management staff to deliver and support quality products and services.

The eLearning course covers the fundamentals of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) core volumes which provide an end-to-end view of IT and its integration with business strategy. Those core volumes are: Service Strategy, Service Design, Service Transition, Service Operation and Continual Service Improvement. It uses the ITIL IT Service Management Glossary of Terms & Definitions and ITIL IT Service Management Acronyms.

The online course materials are available to you for one year from the date you receive your login details.
