Eligibility Criteria

Research Staff and Students

The Researcher Development Programme is part of the Cambridge Centre for Teaching and Learning and provides a range of training to all PhD students and Postdoctoral Researchers within the University.

The course descriptions clearly state who is eligible to attend each specific course. Please ensure you read this information and adhere to the eligibility criteria. If you do not meet the requirements listed in the target audience you are not eligible to attend.

Postdoctoral Researchers/Research Staff

The Researcher Development Programme is open to any member of research staff who can demonstrate that their primary responsibility is to conduct research and that they are employed for this purpose. This includes postdoctoral research staff (postdocs), Junior Research Fellows (JRFs), holders of research fellowships and research assistants (with or without a PhD).

It does not matter (i) what the length or type of the research contract is or (ii) whether the University or some other body is formally the employer, e.g. a University Partner Institute, College or external funding body.

Please Note: You will need a raven login https://raven.cam.ac.uk/ to book onto the Researcher Development Programme. If you meet the criteria above but do not have a raven login, please email researcher.development@admin.cam.ac.uk with the name of the workshop/programme/resource you are interested in.

 In general Life Sciences cover the disciplines and research interests of the Departments, Centres, Institutes and University Partner Institutions encompassed by the Graduate School of Life Sciences (GSLS).

PhD students from Doctoral Training Centres (DTCs)

 The Researcher Development Programme is open to any PhD students from any DTC in Cambridge. http://www.cam.ac.uk/doctoral-training
