ADRC: Mentoring students with ADHD

Description

This workshop is provided for Mentors by the Accessibility and Disability Resource Centre and is to support them in their work with university students with ADHD.

The workshop will feature in-depth content on the neurobiology of ADHD and common ADHD-related learning challenges, as well as group discussion on supportive strategies.

The session is run by Rebecca Champ, ADHD Coach and Mentor, whose workshops have previously received excellent feedback.

Those booking onto the course must be available to attend in-person and for the whole 6 hours. We will prioritise Mentors who have not taken this workshop previously.

Aims
  • To increase knowledge and understanding of ADHD, and understand which strategies are helpful when mentoring students with ADHD.
