- Provide a short overview of the Concordat and the laws related to the use of animals in research.
- Give researchers an understanding of the public’s opinion of research using animals.
- Give researchers the confidence to talk to a scientifically interested public about their research.
- Discuss how best to deal with difficult questions from the public, the media and campaigners.
