Description

This self-paced practical course covers the most commonly used features of Microsoft Word 2007. It is not suitable for experienced users of other versions of Word wanting to find out about the new features in Word 2007. Those needing basic Windows training may also attend this course and do relevant exercises under supervision.

Prerequisites

The course is aimed at beginners - no previous knowledge or experience of wordprocessing is assumed, but it can also be used by those who have used Word, for consolidation and for hints on more efficient methods of working.

Word 2007 on PWF Windows

Notes
  • Participants work at their own pace using a workbook containing notes and exercises.
  • Most participants will complete the material in the three timetabled sessions during which help and advice are available. However, the length of time taken will vary according to previous experience, so the facilities will remain available for informal use for a further week after the formal sessions; alternatively the course files can be copied to a CD or memory stick (not supplied) so that the exercises can be completed on other machines.
  • This course is also available as a self-instruction pack from Computing Service Sales; there are also instructor-led and other self-teach courses on Word.
  • Those attending this course in order to learn to use Windows will be given exercises they can do under supervision. When booking please specify "Windows skills" in the "Additional info" section.
