IT Support Staff: Windows 2012 and Active Directory PrerequisitesUpdatedSpecial
This 3-day course which has been developed by the University Information Services Windows Support Group is aimed at IT Support staff within the University (i.e. Departmental and College Computer Officers and TechLinks) with an existing skill set in 2003/2008 server.
This course covers configuring and managing Windows 2012R2 Server Standard and Core (No GUI), with heavy emphasis on PowerShell and command line usage. For the practical tasks each course member will be shown how to set up, manage and maintain an Active Directory and Windows Server 2012R2 Domain using PowerShell and other command line utilities, as well as using the GUI.
If the course becomes oversubscribed precedence will be given to those who haven't previously attended a course and only one booking per institution will be accepted.

This course is aimed at IT supporters with a good working knowledge of current versions of Windows. This course has a heavy emphasis on using the command line and PowerShell to configure Windows and Active Directory.
