Description

This course is a refresher course on working safely at height for learners who have completed the in-person training.

We start with a section on why good work at height practice is important in the University, then take you through some questions that ask you to decide what is good practice with feedback to take back into your work environment.

This course will take approximately 45 minutes to complete.

Prerequisites

The in-person Working at Height training must be completed before doing the online refresher training. Please contact Safety Office to arrange this.

Objectives

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Explain why it is important to follow best practice when working at height
  • Select an appropriate ladder for your job
  • Identify when a ladder is positioned correctly
  • Describe best practice in using a ladder or stepladder
