Description

An information webinar providing information on various Digital Apprenticeships available through Firebrand Training, one of our approved training providers. This webinar will provide information on several Digital Apprenticeships including;

  • Data Analyst Level 4
  • Information Communication Technician Level 3
  • Software Tester Level 4

The purpose of the webinar will be to provide you with an overview of Digital programmes available, and will give you the opportunity to ask any questions.

A link to the webinar will be sent with the joining instruction when your booking is confirmed.

Target audience
  • University staff interested in undertaking a Digital Apprenticeship
  • University Managers of interested staff or recruiting to post
  • Further details regarding PPD's eligibility criteria are available
  • Target group: grade 3 – 8 roles. Potential participants' roles are wide-ranging and can include IT Technicians, Support Telecoms Technicians, Cyber Security Support, Data Centre Support Technician, IT Support Officer, Network Support, Departmental Data Analyst.

Notes
  • a University employee must have a contract that covers the duration of the apprenticeship
  • working in a role that enables the learning to be put into practice
  • supported by a manager

UK and EEA citizens are eligible for funding if they are a citizen of the UK or a country within the European Economic Area (EEA) and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the previous three years on the first day of the apprenticeship.

Non-EEA citizens are eligible for funding if they have permission from the UK government to live in the UK (not for educational purposes), and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the previous three years before the start of the apprenticeship.

In addition, the individual and manager must commit to 20% off the job training and development. Further guidance
