Publishing in journals for Researchers (Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences) Prerequisites
Publishing journal articles is a key element of a successful research career. Those starting on this journey may have a lot of questions, such as:
- Where and how should I publish my research?
- How do I maximise the number of readers and citations?
- How should I respond to reviewers?
Learning outcomes
By the end of this class, you should be able to:
- Understand the practical considerations involved in writing an academic journal article
- Identify which types of academic publication are the most appropriate for your research
- Feel confident in picking the right journal to publish in
- Have an understanding of what happens during the submission process
- Understand what happens during peer review
- Feel confident about the steps to take after acceptance and publication
